About the AFRICAN MUSIC MINISTER’S CONFERENCE (AMMC)

Africa Music Minister’s Conference provides a unique experience and opportunity for music ministers, gospel artistes, musicians, instrumentalists, choirs, music directors, music pastors, music industry, professionals, secular artistes, fans, and anyone who is musically inclined to meet, upgrade, optimize, network, and acquire life-skills to enhance the registrants ability to serve during this weekend in the beautiful cities of Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt – Nigeria.

The focus is to unlearn, develop, train, re-train, update, impact skill, inform, discuss, educate, network, mentor, re-energise, and re-focus the mind-set and ability of the African Music Minister as it relates to the body of Christ, and to optimize their service to their various wards, ministries, churches, industry, business, media, and the community at large.

These two (2) full-day conference will discuss a range of sessional subject issues, varying levels and styles; but will center around:

  1. Responsibility of the music minister (need for spiritual depth and excellence)
  2. Essence of the music (enhancing your ability and gift)
  3. Need to assist the up-and-coming ministers with opportunities and platforms
  4. Relevance to the advancement of the ministry of Jesus Christ (how it can be better used for the body of Christ)
  5. Creating value with your gift, and monetizing its potential

With a schedule packed full of speakers, panelists, a workshop, and performances, there is something for everyone - from

  • Beginners – Suitable for those starting from the very beginning or those with no experience at all.
  • Intermediate – A step-up from the beginners and for the slightly more experienced
  • Advanced – Suitable for Seasoned music industry veterans (The Master Class Breakfast Session).

Mentorship: Apart from the speakers or panelists, we have invited and confirmed over sixty (60) gospel artistes from Nigeria and various parts of the world to appear as our guests and mentors – USA, Ghana, etc. (Special Guest Appearance and Mentorship sessions only)

The AMMC is strictly by registration, and Conference Registrants with an interest will find it a useful complement to their ministry responsibilities. The various tuitions will be complemented by panel discussions and occasional workshop.

Seminar Aims

  • To inspire and build confidence
  • To give much needed training and re-orientation to the entire body of Christ
  • Mentoring - Instruct and impact the musicians on their skill and application of the skills, and necessary guidance into entry and development in gospel music.
  • To give practical advice and planning for running their music departments, choirs, and business.
  • To introduce participants to new resources and ideas in song writing, music production, music and its legality, copyrights, and networking
  • To provide more intellectual tools, and further add to the knowledge of the musicians
